       a collaborative of Kansas City-based African-American artists

Darryl Chamberlain is an artist and sculptor who uses his art in a unique way to portray images of key figures from African-American history.  Near-life-sized busts are created and displayed in institutions, businesses and schools across the mid western state area.  The art is presented in a unique presentation titled "The Gloryworks Experience."   Chamberlain uses his special presentation to teach the importance of African-American history and to promote interpersonal respect.

Through The Gloryworks Experience, his artwork has traveled across the Midwest in such places as the Internal Revenue Service Center in Merriam Kansas, the Department of Immigration and Naturalization in Dallas Texas, the Federal Deposit and Insurance Corporation in Richardson Texas, and the Job Corps of McKinney Texas to name a few.  Chamberlain also presents his sculptures and lectures in schools and universities across the Midwest.

Darryl Chamberlain is an engineering technician by profession and is a self-taught artist from a family of artisans consisting of 10 children.  Chamberlain studied technical illustration and drafting and applies his technical training to his art in such ways to challenge himself to pursue the impossible.  His work is quite detailed and tells stories that inspire the mind and imagination.
