Sherry Whetstone-McCall is a native of Oklahoma. Becoming a
fiber artist was planted in her head while working in an Africa art shop in
Furth, Germany. Her first art piece created in 1993, titled "Rhythm In
My Soul, The Dancer" gained her international recognition when it was
selected for the U.S. Embassy in Malawi, Africa. Ms. McCall's work
has been featured in five quilting books. Her work can be found in several
private collections as well as various corporations such as
Kaiser-Permanente; Mark Twain Bank; Indian Trails Bus Lines, Inc;
Women's Visions Corporations; Bruce R. Watkins Cultural Heritage Center
and Banks Associates Landscape. She continues to exhibit her work in
galleries and museums nationwide. Ms. McCall enjoys conduction workshops
and giving presentations about her work.
